About me:

I began playing trumpet when I was 6 years old, first studying with Elin Frasier, a student of Carmine Caruso.  I performed in classical and Jazz bands throughout middle school and high school including competing in some regional competitions.  Graduating in 2001, I went on to major in Music from Muhlenberg College, where I also studied Education.  Throughout that time and beyond, I worked with kids ages 6-14 at Benchmark Summer camp (a recreational outdoors camp) for 13 years.

After graduating Muhlenberg College (2005), I moved to New York City where I attended NYU, receiving a MA in Jazz Performance and Composition in '07.  I studied with the late great Laurie Frink, widely considered one of the best trumpet teachers in the world and use the method she developed as an extension of Carmine Caruso's school of trumpet playing.  I teach the method I learned from Laurie Frink.

I have performed all around NYC at venues such as The Blue Note, Lincoln Center, 55 Bar, and Rockwood, and have taught privately since moving to NYC, including time as an adjunct faculty member at NYU, as well as working at Lincoln Center as part of their WeBop Jazz program for kids. I have been playing trumpet for 32 years and love it now more than ever, I love to share my love of trumpet through teaching.
